2024 Shanghai International Youth Science & Technology Innovation Camp and "Science & Technology Stars of Tomorrow" Invitational Tournament to Be Launched in July!
The 2024 Shanghai International Youth Science & Technology Innovation Camp and "Science & Technology Stars of Tomorrow" Invitational Tournament (former Shanghai International Youth Science & Technology Expo) is scheduled to be held in July, 2024 in Shanghai!

V. Main Content
The Shanghai International Youth Science & Technology Expo has witnessed nine successes since 2005. Renamed as 2024 Shanghai International Youth Science & Technology Innovation Camp and "Science & Technology Stars of Tomorrow" Invitational Tournament, the 10th Session will be held in a hybrid format and encompass exchange and contest, including the Youth Sci-Tech Innovation Achievements Roadshow, Sci-Tech Education Roundtable Discussion, and Youth "Science & Technology Stars of Tomorrow" Invitational Tournament.
1. Exchange
(1) Master Class
The Master Class aims to stimulate the enthusiasm for science and innovative thinking of Chinese and foreign youth through exchanges with scientists, drawing knowledge and inspiration from scientists' research discoveries and experiences.
(2) Youth Sci-Tech Innovation Achievements Roadshow
The Youth Sci-Tech Innovation Achievements Roadshow will facilitate the sharing and display of youth sci-tech innovation achievements under the guidance of scientists. Please register on the official website and submit relevant information about the achievements for review. The project teams selected will be invited to the roadshow for online and offline presentations.
(3) Sci-Tech Education Roundtable Discussion
Teachers, principals and experts will share insights and discuss on new resources, new methods, new ideas and future development direction regarding science and technology innovation education at home and abroad. Please register on the official website and submit the speech outlines as well as other related materials for review. Invitation to the Sci-Tech Education Roundtable Discussion will be extended as selected.
(4) Sci-Tech Education Resources Carnival
Exhibition, exchange and experience of high-quality resources for youth sci-tech innovation education in Shanghai. Please register on the official website for review. Invitation to the Sci-Tech Education Resources Carnival will be extended as selected.
(5) Cultural Exchange and Experience
Immersing in Chinese traditional culture and Shanghai-style culture, comprehending the essence of Chinese culture and the features of Shanghai-style culture, and experiencing the integration and innovation of technology and culture.
2. Contest
"Science & Technology Stars of Tomorrow" Invitational Tournament
Team up based on schools, participating students will be required to jointly create engineering and smart creative design works. Teams selected for the Youth Sci-Tech Innovation Achievements Roadshow will be invited to the onsite Invitational Tournament (up to 3 students).
VI. Participants and Conditions
1. Invitations are extended to currently-enrolled full-time secondary school students born between 2006 and 2011 from countries (regions) around the world. Each country (region) will organize teams based on schools, with a maximum of 5 members per team, including 3 students to participate in the "Science & Technology Stars of Tomorrow" Invitational Tournament, along with up to one instructor and up to one team leader (full-time school teacher or relevant person in charge). At least one sci-tech innovation achievement (work or research result) by students is required for exchange. Please register on the official website before May 30 for review.
2. Invitations to the Sci-Tech Innovation Education Resources Carnival are extended to Shanghai Youth Scientific Innovation Practice Station, Shanghai Student (Youth) Science and Technology Innovation Education Base, education bureaus of all districts in Shanghai, Hi-tech enterprises as well as youth innovation education firms and institutions. Please register on the official website before May 30 for review.
3. Participants will cover their expenses of traveling to and from Shanghai. Participants shall purchase travel accident insurance and provide the policy such insurance to the Organizing Committee when registering. The Organizing Committee will cover the cost of accommodation as well as exchange and experience activities during the event in Shanghai.
